Our Story
Barkman Uganda, founded in 2014 is a Ugandan owned business registered with the government of Uganda with headquarters and factory in Lira, Northern Uganda, with honey hubs/collection centers in West Nile, Acholi, Lango, Teso and Karamoja.
Barkman Uganda processes and sells UNBS Q-level certified honey with brand names of African Queen Honey and Lango Premium Honey. These come in various brands and packages. Barkman Uganda processes sells to local markets.
Customers include local supermarkets, Hotels, colleges, clinics and individuals.
Our recent annual traction includes over 50MT of exports of beeswax and honey.
The company is managed by Mr Robert Okodia (founder/CEO); he has over 13 years experience in applied beekeeping, social entrepreneur and an expert in honey value chain development, he has many accolades to his name and four fellowship programs. Our recent traction includes over 50MT exports of beeswax/honey, a network of 1,800 small holder farmers (30% women).
Mission
To become one of the largest exporters of organic honey, high quality bees wax, bee venom and other hive products from Africa to the world.
